Everyday I see the real example of this. I find it in small things, for example fight for a better mark, thoughts, objection etc.
There is an example from sport. When someone makes a mistake, the judge will react and punish, but if the judge thinks that wasn't done on purpose teammates, audience pressure, heat up the atmosphere, the judge is between two fires. Dilemma. What to do? If he changes his decision he will satisfy the audience but that wouldn't be in his interest, he wouldn't defend his credibility. Think before you put somebody in a situation like that, how would you feel in his place.
I'm not saying you shouldn't fight for your attitude if it's the right one, I'm just saying that you shouldn't use your right of objection on someone's decision when that is not needed and don't make somebody gets in situation like that when it's unnecessarily. Think about it!
